Help stop the slaughter of lynx!

End trapping on public lands

We’re making progress, but we need your support

Dear clint,

Many of us embrace this time of year, with its crisp air and anticipation of a hearty meal shared with family and friends. To the wildlife of the West, however, November is when trapping season begins.

Guardians firmly believes that our public lands should be safe spaces, not littered with cruel, indiscriminate traps that put wildlife, companion animals, and people at risk. Removing all traps from public lands is a tall order, but we’re making good progress. Just weeks ago, we won a case that requires the feds to examine the effects of trapping in places where threatened Canada lynx live and take action to prevent them from being trapped.

Your gift to Guardians fuels our ongoing work to end public lands trapping. My dog Ember, Canada lynx, and families out for a walk—we all deserve trap-free public lands.

For the Wild,

Sarah McMillan, Conservation Director
