These dogs are in agony – please help them now.
There are desolate, terrifying places where sick, frightened dogs cower in barren metal cages, with swollen tongues and jaw muscles so weakthat they make swallowing even the thinnest gruel difficult. There are places where dogs are purposely bred with a painful canine form of muscular dystrophy (MD) that will leave themunable to walk, eat, or even breathe.
This is going on right now at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in the United States and at France’s Alfort National Veterinary School – and at other antiquated experimentation facilities around the world, animals are enduring similar agony in other useless tests.
Over three decades of torturing dogs in hideous experiments have not led to a cure for MD – or even a single treatment to reverse the disease’s devastating symptoms in humans.
clint, please help these animals by making a special donation to “Cut It Out” – PETA’s Animal Test Challenge today. Every gift will be matched pound for pound, DOUBLING your impact on our vital work to stop experiments on animals. Your support is crucial to helping us reach our £250,000 goal by 31 October.
As soon as PETA affiliates exposed the secret suffering of dogs at TAMU and Alfort, compassionate people flooded both institutions with e-mails and phone calls demanding change. Tens of thousands joined PETA and our international affiliates in urging French charity AFM-Téléthon to cut off its support for grotesque, useless experiments on dogs – and many MD patients from around the globe are now publicly calling for human-relevant, animal-free research methods to be funded instead of dog torture.
We need every extra pound we can raise from caring people like you to put into promoting modern, non-animal research methods that will prevent dogs and other animals from being abused like this and killed in laboratories. Your gift to PETA today will be matched, bolstering our work to stop painful, deadly experiments on animals.
Please donate right now and your contribution will be doubled to help spare twice as many dogs, cats, rabbits, and other animals immense suffering in cruel experiments.
If we meet our challenge goal, PETA will have £500,000 to put immediately towards our work to end cruel experiments on dogs and to help all animals who are suffering at experimenters’ hands. We know we can reach our goal – but we need your help to do it.
Match My Gift!
Thank you for your compassion and for everything you do for animals.
